BY CAR

From Lusaka – Head North on the T2 (Great North Road) for approximately 60km, once you pass Fringilla Lodge on your right and Zambeef on your left continue for approximately 2km to GART Research Centre which will be on your left.

From Mumbwa – Get onto the M20 road heading East, drive for approximately 140km until you reach the T2 (Great North Road), turn right onto the T2 heading South and drive for approximately 4km and GART Research Centre will be on your right.

From Kabwe – Head South on the T2 (Great North Road), drive approximately 90km South towards Lusaka, GART will be on your right.

BY BUS

If you are a small-scale or emerging commercial farmer, contact your local ZNFU regional office to secure your bus ticket to Agritech Expo Zambia. Tel +260 211 252 649 / 255769 / 255769 / 257958 / 254431

BY PLANE

Pilots are able to land their planes on an airstrip 1km from Agritech Expo Zambia. A shuttle will be available between the airstrip and the expo. For landing queries please contact Andrew Woodley via email: farmpride.zambia@gmail.com


Agro-ecological regions in Zambia


Golden Valley Agricultural Research Trust (GART) is an autonomous and self-sustaining Public Private Partnership. Formed in 1993 in a joint venture by the Government of Zambia and the Zambia National Farmers Union (ZNFU) Golden Valley Research Farm is a total exceeding 1300 hectares. Agritech Expo will be sited on prime agriculture land. The site is situated along the Great North Road, approximately 50km from Lusaka CBD.

Visas & Immigration:

Zambia’s Embassies/Visas: Visa regulations change often for visitors to Zambia, so check with your local Zambian Embassy for the latest.

You may be asked to show you have sufficient funds to support your stay. 
Passports must be valid for at least six months after your intended departure date.

The Zambian Government have decided that they will no longer be offering a visa waiver for those pre-booking safaris in Zambia and that travellers will have to pay for their visas either before or on arrival in Zambia.

Please note that the Fringilla Lodge in Chisamba is fully booked at present as well as the IBIS hotel at Kabwe Road. Alternative accommodations are available at Protea Hotels in Lusaka where our guests are offered special rates.
